We found the host, who was originally from Hawaii, to be friendly. The wait staff isn't as friendly as we are use to, but then we were in Oregon, not Tennessee. I ordered the trout, with okra, and rice. The okra was lukewarm, but I have found that at many Cracker Barrel's. The trout was very good. My husband had the Cajun Catfish, salad, and fried apples. It was up to the usual Cracker Barrel standards. My daughter had the special Apple Cider BBQ Chicken Breasts. She loved her meal. The biscuits were also up to the usual Cracker Barrel standard. We ordered peach cobbler for dessert, and it was just okay. The crust was too gooey. I did get upset with the cashier when we were leaving as we got charged more than the advertised price for an item in the store. We explained they had to sell it for the advertised price, which was only a twenty cent difference, and the cashier decided to argue the point. Once I suggested she talk with her manager, she corrected the price she was charging us. We will be back and hopefully by then the restaurant will have worked out some of the kinks. All the tables were dirty, and even the one that had been cleared was sticky and we had to ask to have it wiped off again. We waited 15 minutes to pay the bill, because the large party in front of us decided they wanted to pay as separate checks. The entire experience was disappointing. If I want a simple but yummy southern food, this is the place. Love the people, great food. Marcus was our server and he made sure our drinks were filled up all the times.
